3D digitalisation of Toledo’s historical monuments to improve resource attractiveness

Toledo City Council has carried out a process of digitalisation of a total of 1,190 engravings conserved in its Municipal Archive, from the 16th century to the present day, in order to preserve and improve the value of the cultural and artistic heritage it houses.

This collection, which can be visited and downloaded through the Toledo Siempre section of the Toledo City Council's website, allows visitors and residents alike to interact and learn first-hand about the destination's heritage from different periods of great historical relevance. More than ten thousand photographs from different periods and by different authors are also available.

To complement this, the platform has also created a digital photographic exhibition featuring 52 panoramic images and views of the city signed by different national artists, which were used by the Department of Tourism to promote and raise awareness of the destination's heritage through social networks and digital media during the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
