Goochem, a pioneering interactive chatbot created as a marketing tool to bring culture closer to young people

Goochem is a cutting-edge interactive chatbot, created as a marketing tool to spread the destination's value proposal through offering personalised suggestions and recommendations about cultural events to the younger generations.
This initiative involves direct interaction with tourists, making their access to information easier and more intuitive and providing better experiences for visitors. It's available through Facebook Messenger, a channel that the target audience uses regularly and which requires no additional installations.

Goochem has three main functions:

  • It creates a profile of the tourist via set questions asked through Facebook Messenger and provides personalised suggestions and real-time information about concerts, shows, exhibitions and festivals throughout Amsterdam and the surrounding areas.
  • It can be set up to regularly and proactively provide recommendations based on the visitor's current location and/or in relation to the interests the user has indicated.
  • It features the option to provide random suggestions to surprise the user.

As it is based on Machine Learning technology, the chatbot learns from each new interaction, becoming increasingly intelligent and providing tourists with more precise recommendations.
