Digital Gymkhana “Pope Luna’s Decision” to improve the tourist experience through gamification

The Digital Gymkhana "Pope Luna's Decision", developed in 2021 by Morella City Council, travels through the destination’s different cultural spaces and monuments to solve 13 riddles about the meetings held by Pope Luna, King Ferdinand I and Vicente Ferrer in Morella to resolve the Western Schism.

The user, using their own mobile device and scanning the different QR Codes that are located in strategic places around the town, must solve different riddles and mysteries as they walk through the streets of Morella. In this way, you can learn about the decision that Pope Luna took in Morella and the importance it had for the future of the municipality.

Taking advantage of new technologies, this initiative designed for family tourism aims to improve the visitors’ interactions with the destination's heritage and enhance their experience.
