Aller, Today and Always.
Located in the central-southern area of Asturias, in the heart of the Central Mountain, the municipality of Aller spans 375 km² and has a population of over 10,000 inhabitants. This destination combines rural authenticity with an active and sustainable tourism offering, ideal for those seeking to connect with nature and immerse themselves in ecotourism.
Aller is a paradise for active tourism enthusiasts: hiking, mountaineering, cycling, climbing, and flora and fauna observation, among other sports, are practiced in areas of high ecological value. In addition, the municipality is home to the Fuentes de Invierno Ski Resort, one of the main snow tourism destinations in northern Spain.
Its valuable cultural heritage, mining legacy, ethnographic wealth, traditional fairs and festivals, as well as a distinctive local cuisine, make every visit an authentic experience.

| Outstanding initiatives
|
- ‹Aller, a Stellar Destination››: Aller aspires to establish itself as a reference for astronomical tourism. In its territory is Coto Bello (Renorios), a privileged location for stargazing due to its excellent sky quality. A frequent setting for activities related to astrotourism, this place will soon house an astronomical observatory and will become one of the global epicenters for the celebration of the total solar eclipse in 2026.
- Aller is involved in the development and implementation of two Sustainable Tourism Plans for Destinations: the Sustainable Tourism Plan for the Valles de Aller and the Sustainable Tourism Plan for the Central Mountain Destinations of Asturias.
- Aller has launched its new accessible digital tourism portal (https://www.visitaaller.es/), positioning the municipality as an innovative, sustainable, and competitive destination.
- Aller is the first municipality in Asturias to become a Smart City. The Smart Aller app has been launched, the official app of the Aller City Council, designed for residents, visitors, and tourists, offering access to a wide variety of content and information about the city, tourist resources, as well as municipal services.
- Aller has two interactive tourist information points, designed to provide continuous assistance to visitors in an autonomous and accessible manner. This system improves the tourist experience, ensures access to information even outside of in-person service hours, and contributes to the sustainability of the destination.
- Aller has a visitor counting system at two of its main tourist resources. The “sensors” at two of the busiest points, two trails in the municipal hiking network, allow for the analysis of visit patterns and optimize destination management.
