Iberians and Romans, Arabs and feudal lords, all are part of Calafell’s history. The Iberian Citadel, the Barral House-Museum, the Lifeboat, the Church of San Miguel, and the Castle of the Holy Cross are some of the testimonies of history that guide us through time to the present day.
A gateway to the Costa Dorada, in a privileged location between Barcelona and Tarragona, Calafell blends the richness of its historical heritage with the powerful appeal of five kilometers of fine, golden sand and a promenade that accompanies them throughout. It also boasts a magnificent marina, located in the center of Segur de Calafell.
Calafell is certified by the Generalitat de Catalunya as a family destination brand for “Family Beach.”
In 2021, it obtained the Biosphere Destination certification.
A welcoming place that is firmly committed to sustainability and technology. It becomes a meeting point and a point of reference for all audiences from all over the world in search of sun, beaches, leisure and culture, sports, rich and varied cuisine, etc., and, ultimately, happiness.
