The municipality of Jaraba is located in the southwest of the province of Zaragoza (Aragon), forming part of the Calatayud region. It is 125 km from Zaragoza and 217 km from Madrid.
Jaraba is a popular tourist destination thanks to its mineral-medicinal waters, which have been used by its spas since the 19th century. These establishments have been declared Sites of Tourist Interest of Aragon, making Jaraba a thermal spa powerhouse.
Furthermore, the municipality is situated in a privileged natural environment, a protected area within the Natura 2000 network known as the “Hoces del río Mesa” (Mesa River Gorge), declared a Site of Tourist Interest of Aragon. This allows for a wide variety of activities within the municipality: hiking, climbing, cycling, birdwatching, and more.
Added to all this is the cultural and ethnographic heritage linked to the traditional use and exploitation of the surrounding natural environment.
Among its must-see attractions are the cave paintings of Roca Benedí, the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Jaraba and the REC Exhibition of paper cutout toys.
