Heritage Night. Streaming cultural event

The Group of Spain’s World Heritage Cities, a non-profit association formed by 15 of the country’s cities, developed "Heritage Night” in 2021, an event for which organisation started in 2018 that aims to highlight the World Heritage that these unique cities treasure, and to pay tribute to the cultures and languages of all the cities in the group, which represent the diversity and richness of the Spanish territory.

This event was structured in three sections:

  • EscenaPatrimonio (Heritage Scene). Streaming organisation of different cultural events focused on giving visibility to and highlighting the traditional dance of each of the participating cities. In this section, national and international artists organise artistic performances in UNESCO World Heritage sites.
  • AbiertoPatrimonio (Open Heritage). Open days for the most emblematic monuments and heritage resources of the cities in the group.
  • VivePatrimonio (Live Heritage). Guided and dramatised tours, conferences, thematic days and exhibitions in the most emblematic buildings and spaces of each of the cities participating in this initiative.

This event aims to bring culture and heritage closer to both visitors and residents, highlighting the resources of these cities and making visible those elements that make them unique in the world.
