Santa Pola is a tourist and fishing town that stands out for the excellence of its beaches, its promenades, its landscape and its rich Mediterranean gastronomy.
It has more than 300 days of sunshine a year and an average annual temperature of 18º C. Along its 15 km. of coastline, we find 11 km. of fine sandy beaches facing south, and we discover natural elements as varied as the Cape, the Sierra, an important fishing port and marina and the Natural Park of Las Salinas.
It should be noted that more than 70% of the territory is protected, which makes Santa Pola a municipality with a beautiful natural environment.
The good climate, the promenades and the smell of the sea are more than enough attractions to practice sports along the coast, or through the different routes and paths that run through the Sierra.
A modern marina and a protected bay invite the visitor to practice windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, swimming or scuba diving, and other activities such as paragliding.
The local dishes are colourful and are based on fish (Peix de SantaPola) and rice.
Admission to the Smart Tourism Destinations Programme | Santa Pola joined the Smart Tourist Destinations project in 2021, and in 2025 the Diagnostic Report and Action Plan for its transformation into a Smart Tourist Destination was drawn up. |
Outstanding initiatives
|
