Located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the centre of Spain’s east coast, Valencia is a city that combines modernity and innovation with a deep respect for its history and traditions.
This harmony between the traditional and the contemporary, between identity and progress, makes it an ideal place to live, enjoy and visit. It is no surprise that it was designated by the European Commission as the European Capital of Smart Tourism 2022 and European Green Capital 2024.
Valencia was the first Mediterranean city to achieve European Green Capital status. This recognition is a testament to its commitment to urban sustainability and its efforts to improve the environment and quality of life of its inhabitants.
This great city is a tourist destination whose current management model places citizens at the centre of tourism, based on the concepts of sustainability, governance, value proposition, innovation and integration, which are integrated into its new Strategic Plan.
